This year we’ll be having our Annual Missions Fair on Sunday, May 20th during the morning service.  We’re very excited to welcome special guest speaker Vera Pendergraft, a recent graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University.  Vera is preparing to serve as a missionary in Bulgaria and will share with us about her experience in missions.

Boone Maddox Gernand arrived into the world on May 9th @ 12:50 pm weighing 6 lbs and 12 oz. and measuring 20″ long!

Sunday morning, April 29th, we enjoyed a great day of service after our morning worship.  We shared in a picnic together, then prepared soil, laid down weed barriers, [...]]]> It is our pleasure to be able to serve together with The Journey Home and others in the city of Murfreesboro on this year’s Community Garden.  Produce from the Garden goes into daily meals at TJH, foodboxes for the poor in our city & hopefully this year will support two full-time local jobs.

Sunday morning, April 29th, we enjoyed a great day of service after our morning worship.  We shared in a picnic together, then prepared soil, laid down weed barriers, planted 300 tomato plants & over 200 peppers (various kinds), adjusted watering systems, mowed a couple acres of grass, installed a gutter and downspout over a storage building, made a scarecrow and prepared a nursery bed for mulch.

The Garden is located at 2811 Barfield Rd (head southwest on 99 out of town…turn left on Barfield by World Outreach Church’s leadership park…Garden is about 2 miles down on the left).  They are in regular need of volunteers throughout the summer.  If you have some time and energy, please consider SHARING it with The Journey Home and this worthwhile project.

In order to pattern our lives after Jesus’ life more closely, we’re going to be spending the next few months studying the life of Jesus.  Please join us on Sunday mornings as we journey through the life of Jesus together.

Continuing in the tradition of providing clean water for communities, our elementary children recently made “Valentines for Jesus” (crafts and coupon books) for sale to raise funds for a new well in Haiti.  Our kids teamed up with other Nazarene churches in East Tennessee and raised $155.50 to put towards the project.  Learn more about the Haiti Water Project by visiting www.haitiwaterproject.com.  Stay tuned for a total from the rest of the district coming soon!
