Children’s Ministry Update

Real Life Community   -

Dear Real Life Community,
I am happy to be able to update you with some great news for our church family!
Because the Holmes family is moving in May, we have been searching over the past couple of months for a new person to provide leadership to the incredible team who serves in Real Kids. After several interviews and a time of seeking God’s direction, this past weekend we voted as a Church Board to extend a call to Ciara Cunningham to serve as our Associate Minister to Children and Families beginning in the second half of May.
Ciara brings with her a great background in the church of the Nazarene, a strong Christian witness, a calling to pastoral ministry, credentials in the church of the Nazarene as a District Licensed minister (soon to be ordained), a degree in Religion from Trevecca and a Master’s degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary in inter-cultural studies. She has been a former co-lead pastor and youth pastor.
Ciara has spent the last three years working with children in daycare & Christian pre-school ministries and comes with very high recommendations at each of these places. She has been a member of our church family for the past three years and has been engaged in various outreach and youth ministry activities in our church over that time. I believe she will be a great fit for ministry in our church and am looking forward to having her as a part of our ministry team leading our ministry to children and supporting their families, and the church body collectively, in the critical work of disciple-making.
Over the next couple of months, Ciara will be working with Hilary and the Real Kids team towards the transition that will take place in May. Please be in prayer for this process to be stamped with the leadership and direction of the Holy Spirit.
I’m looking forward to great days ahead for our ministry to children at Real Life. It is a gift to be able to carry out the calling of making disciples among these little ones together. Thank you for being a part of it!
Blessings,
Erik
