Advent Conspiracy Projects
This year for the Christmas season we are excited to be joining in the telling of the Christmas story through giving to others. Whereas in past years we have dug wells & planted farms, this year we are choosing three projects.
We raised $1200 to buy groceries and other supplies for five families from Mitchell-Neilson Schools over Christmas break.

School Mentoring Project
Beginning this 2011-2012 school year, Real Life Community is partnering with Mitchell-Neilson Primary School to provide mentors to at-risk students. These mentors will meet with students for 30 minutes – 1 hour each week throughout the school year to help with homework, read a book from the library, play a game, etc… in hopes of assisting the child in his/her schoolwork and development.

Community Garden
For a few years now, our congregation has had a partnership with The Journey Home in Murfreesboro, a ministry to the homeless and poor in our community. This past year, however, we were able to move to a new level of involvement with the Community Garden project.
For our Advent Conspiracy project in 2010, our congregation spent less money on gifts and gave instead to help fund the Garden for 2011. We raised almost $2,000 for seeds, starter plants and a potato plow. [...]
